Jermichael Kelley is from Alexander City, Alabama. He began his football journey at the age of six, excelling early as a quarterback, running back, and defensive back through Pop Warner and middle school football.
At Benjamin Russell High School, Kelley transitioned his primary focus to defensive back while contributing at running back in select packages.
Despite limited exposure coming out of high school, Kelley took ownership of his future. He created his own highlight film, reached out to college programs across the country, and put himself in position to be discovered.
Although he generated Division I interest and never received an official offer, Kelley earned a full scholarship to West Virginia Wesleyan College, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
During his senior season, Kelley led his team with three interceptions and caught the attention of the Detroit Lions. While he ultimately did not receive an invitation to the NFL Combine or a UDFA opportunity, the experience became another important chapter in his journey.
Today, Kelley uses those experiences to fuel the mission behind Legacy & Truth Sports Management. He is committed to providing athletes and families with the guidance, education, and roadmap needed to navigate recruiting, college athletics, NIL, professional opportunities, branding, financial literacy, and life after sports.
